Why does my example work differently than on site?

I try to create shared list example similar to this

1. Try moving all right items to the left
2. Try to move an item to the empty space on the right.

In the original example, I can drop items anywhere, but in my example I can only drop them in a small area near the top.
What do I miss?

It's CSS-related ...

The calculated height of your empty list ( -> id="sortablelist2") is 0px
The calculated height of the empty list in the git-example ( -> id="example2-right") is 589px (in my case)

Try to increase height and "dropzone" will become higher.
