Missing login prompt if URI handler is missing the token

In version 1.9.2 at least, when the token was missing we would prompt to log in if the token was not included in the URI (or if it was invalid, I think), but now it seems we silently fail in both cases.

Does it actually fail? From what I understand, we execute commands.open or commands.openDevContainer on the given parameters. This would attempt to connect to the remote deployment which would trigger the login dialog if we cannot login. Am I missing something here 🤔 ?
