I'd like to give admin access to a collaborator I added to my personal repository, however there is no option to do so, that I can find.

In the past, you could assign admin rights to collaborators on repositories, but now I can't seem to do it.

Has this feature been removed?

In GitHub, the ability to assign roles, including admin access, depends on whether the repository is part of a personal account or an organization.

Well that is really annoying... This is a feature that would really have been helpful in my case.
And what makes it even more annoying is this is a feature that used to exist.

I am trying to transfer my personal repository to an organization of which I do not have user permissions to transfer the repository, with the help of one of the admins of the org. It would have been simple if I could simply add them as an admin and they could transfer the repository

I admit that limiting access to the settings tab on a user's repo has stalled a lot of support work community members were doing. I get that you can use organizations for this type of collab - and removing the feature steers you towards that strategy... but is very pretty much annoying, tbh.
