The try except block was overriding the path var with the contents of the folder causing errors further down. Changed to just check for proper opening of the file.

Well hello there guys. Salty has been bugging the shit out of me about v2.1 so I've got some time right now at work and have been working on a new release. We have 32 commits to this new branch and a few new features that have been included, we also have some bug fixes (including the rollover issue). So without further ado; here it is, version 2.1:
